TY SMITH

Ty Smith brings more than 15 years of hands-on construction experience to his role as Superintendent at Rupe Companies. With a career spanning residential remodels, commercial builds, and custom fabrication projects, Ty is known for his ability to deliver high-quality results while keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and code requirements.

Before joining Rupe Companies, Ty owned and operated Smithworks Home Services in Golden, Colorado, where he managed all aspects of custom residential remodels—from design and estimating to execution and client handoff. His leadership extended to supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring every project reflected his commitment to craftsmanship and client satisfaction. He also served as a Project Superintendent for First Contracting, overseeing multimillion-dollar commercial projects and maintaining a 100% incident-free safety record.

Ty holds OSHA 10/30 certifications, is trained in forklift and heavy equipment operations, and is proficient in blueprint reading, estimating, scheduling, and MS Project. His leadership, problem-solving skills, and dedication to quality have earned him repeated recognition, including multiple “Best of the Best” awards in the City of Golden, Colorado, for renovation and remodeling work.

At Rupe Companies, Ty leverages his extensive field expertise, eye for detail, and collaborative approach to ensure projects are built to the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction. When Ty is not working, he and his wife, Christa, spend time with their 3 children. Ty also enjoys golfing, fishing, time at the lake and building custom woodworking projects.
