Rhett Thomas

Rhett Thomas is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. As Senior Vice President of Finance at Rupe Companies, he leads the finance function and helps guide the company’s financial strategy through a period of significant growth. Rhett began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young before moving into the energy sector, where he most recently served as Controller for a publicly traded exploration and production company in Tulsa. Over his career he has led financial accounting, SEC reporting and compliance, established internal controls, accounted for more than $3 billion in mergers and acquisitions, and directed multiple ERP implementations and process improvements that strengthened financial operations.

Rhett holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oral Roberts University, where he was recognized as the top finance student. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Oklahoma.

Rhett enjoys golfing as time allows and is a coffee enthusiast. However, he is most passionate about enjoying every moment possible with his wife Sarah and their 4 children and coaching his children’s baseball and basketball teams.
