Assistant Construction Superintendent (Oklahoma)

Rupe Companies is currently seeking Assistant Construction Superintendents for our construction operations in Oklahoma. These positions are focused on retail projects with project values ranging from $1 million to $2 million.

The ideal candidate will be working under the supervision of the site superintendent and supporting the needs of the site project. They should also be comfortable in effectively communicating project milestones to all involved parties and assisting in establishing completion timelines.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience or degree
  • Must prioritize teamwork
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Comfortable with using technology

Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction:

  • Maintain a clean construction site throughout the project
  • Work closely with the superintendent to effectively manage the project sites
  • Assist in contacting relevant authorities and suppliers to understand requirements and policies
  • Help coordinate delivery dates with suppliers

Construction:

  • Ensure sub-contractors adhere to safety regulations and OSHA requirements
  • Install hardware as needed
  • Adhere to budgets set forth by client and superintendent
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork
  • Meet with clients as needed
  • Help coordinate subcontractors and suppliers throughout construction
  • Assist with the purchasing of necessary supplies and materials, and document receipts
  • Ensure substantial completion is achieved and obtain Certificate of Occupancy

Post-Construction:

  • Willingness to do hands on project close outs
  • Address warranty issues for the following year
  • Complete one-year warranty walk-through report

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience.  Company offers PTO, heath, dental and vision insurance, and 401K.
