Rupe Companies is currently seeking multiple Commercial Construction Superintendents for our construction operations in Oklahoma. This position is focused on retail projects with project values ranging from $1 million to $2 million.
The ideal candidate will be capable of overseeing the entire construction site operation and identifying and addressing potential risk areas to ensure worker safety. They should also have experience in effectively communicating project milestones to all involved parties and establishing completion timelines.
Qualifications:
Must prioritize teamwork
3-5 years of construction experience with strong project management and communication skills
Ability to interpret construction documents
Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
Effective communication skills
Proficiency in Excel and Word
Comfortable with using technology
Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction:
Contact relevant authorities and suppliers to understand requirements and policies
Notify subcontractors and suppliers of project start and any unique issues
Coordinate delivery dates with suppliers
Distribute 4-week lookahead schedule and weekly reports to all involved parties
Construction:
Ensure sub-contractors adhere to safety regulations and OSHA requirements
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers throughout construction
Purchase necessary supplies and materials, and document receipts
Ensure subcontractors follow scheduling, plans, specs, and testing requirements
Coordinate inspections before each phase of work
Coordinate with Project Manager on subcontractor scope changes
Coordinate delivery and installation of owner-supplied equipment
Ensure substantial completion is achieved and obtain Certificate of Occupancy
Post-Construction:
Address any additional needs from the Owner’s Contractors
Update drawings and issue as-built set
Address warranty issues for the following year
Complete one-year warranty walk-through report
Compensation:
