Construction Project Coordinator

Rupe Companies is currently seeking a full-time Construction Project Coordinator to join the construction department. The selected individual will be responsible for supporting the construction project team members. Duties include managing supplies, keeping clients updated on progress, and implementing procedures to comply with building and safety codes. The Construction Project Coordinator will support the project team members (PM’s, Subcontractors, Vendors, Suppliers and Superintendents) from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget and meeting client satisfaction. The person hired will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are carried out according to plan and standards. This position requires strong organizational, customer service, time management and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where their role is to support others to ensure the project is completed on time and on budget.  

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in construction or a degree in customer service, project management or similar degree
  • Experience managing behind the scenes project.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, research skills, and ability to retain extensive project information.
  • Experience managing deadline driven projects and delivering on or before schedule 
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed according to plan and meet all necessary regulations and quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Develop project schedules in Microsoft Project that include timelines and budgets.
  • Ability to maintain strong organizational and communication skills to ensure that changes to the project are effectively and efficiently communicated to the PM’s and superintendents.
  • Document standard operating procedures as needed
  • Perform any other tasks as needed.

Compensation:

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, in addition to base compensation and paid time off. These benefits will begin on the first of the month following the start of employment. The company covers 70% of the employee’s medical premium on both option 1 and option 2 plans. The employer contribution may change annually. Employees are eligible for the 401(k) plan after three months of employment, with the company matching up to 4% of contributions if the employee contributes 5%. Vesting starts immediately.  The base compensation for this role will be $40,000-60,000.
